Welcome to the

Lewistown Soccer Club's 2024 Spring Program.

==============================================

We offer three tiers of soccer experience: developmental, recreational, and competitive.

Our developmental tier is for all the kids born in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.  We call it u8 (under 8) because those players are under 8 years old on the first day of the year - Jan. 1st, 2024.  These players don't form a team, don't travel, and aren't expected to have as much commitment to the program.  Our primary goal for this group is to help them learn personal soccer skills in a very safe, fun, and low stress environment.  Their parents are encouraged to hang around and watch, or even participate with them if needed.  Players can attend practice as much or little as they desire, and missing a practice doesn't affect their ability to attend the following practice (there is no group progression - simply individual development).  The experience should be very enjoyable and low-stress for all involved.  Cost is $55 and every player gets a club t-shirt.  There is no deadline to register but we appreciate your registration by mid-March to ensure a properly sized shirt.  You must be registered online to participate.  Training sessions will be every Monday and Friday after school (exact time TBA) starting April 8th and finishing on May 24th.  They will be held at Kiwanis Park near Highland Park School.  Cancellations for inclement weather will NOT be made up.  We primarily use the Heja app for team communications.

More information will be sent via email once you have successfully registered.

Our recreational tier is our u9-u10 teams composed of players born in 2014 and 2015.  These players begin to focus on team concepts, practice as a team, have a few games, and travel to some out-of-town games.  They'll attend the end-of-year state tournament (Showcase) on June 15th and 16th in Helena.  This group is still focused mainly on developing personal soccer skills but is starting to develop team skills.  Players don't need to make every practice and every game, but being absent will limit what they can learn from the program and will adversely affect the team.  Cost is $110.  There is no deadline to register but early registration helps to ensure a spot on the team and allows us to plan which teams we will register - PLEASE REGISTER ASAP - AFTER JAN 15TH WE MAY BE FORCED TO CLOSE REGISTRATION TO THIS TEAM!  Training sessions will be determined by the coach(es) but the season will run from mid-March to June 16th.  They will practice at Kiwanis Park near Highland Park School.  The Showcase tournament will be held on June 15th/16th in Helena - PLEASE COMMIT TO PARTICIPATE TO THE END.

More information will be sent via email once you have successfully registered.

Our competitive tier is made up of players born in 2005 to 2013.  It is expected that these players and parents will be commited and dedicated to all trainings and competitions.  Older teams will practice in worse weather conditions, start the season earlier and have longer practices.  Our coaches focus on creating a safe, enjoyable, and instructive experience for all players while modeling respectful competition.  Cost is $200.  There is no deadline to register but registration by January 15th greatly helps ensure a spot on the team and allows us to plan which teams we will register.

PLEASE REGISTER ASAP - AFTER JAN 15TH WE MAY BE FORCED TO CLOSE REGISTRATION TO SOME TEAMS!

  • The u12 team will be made up of players born in 2012 and 2013.  This group may have games starting April 6th and will compete in the Showcase Tournament on June 15th/16th in Helena.  Players will work on building both individual and team skills and perhaps start to specialize in a team position (keeper, forward, back, etc.)  Practice 2-3 weekdays for about an hour and play most of the Saturdays from April 6th to June 16th.  The Showcase tournament will be held on June 15th/16th in Helena  - PLEASE COMMIT TO PARTICIPATE TO THE END.
  • Depending on the number of players registered by January 15th we will form 2-3 teams from players born in 2005 through 2011. These players will face tough competition, practice 3 to 5 days a week and travel nearly every Saturday from April 6th through June 9th.  The season ends with the Montana Classic Cup June 8th/9th in Helena - PLEASE COMMIT TO PARTICIPATE FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.

More information will be sent via email once you have successfully registered.

We participate in the state's "classic" league which means the teams are typically co-ed, from smaller communities or clubs, and contain 2-4 years of ages on each team depending on turn-out.  Safety is everyone's first concern and there are very few injuries due to rough play (although it does happen).  We typically play teams from Sidney, Havre, Miles City, Billings, Laurel, Red Lodge, Livingston, Butte, Great Falls, and Helena.  We often car-pool so every parent does NOT have to attend every game.  However, parents are strongly encouraged to lend a hand however they can (we need coaches, referees, field marshals, photographers, reporters, fundraisers, and others... let us know how you can help!)  Clubs that have a high participation rate among both kids and adults tend to be more tight-knit, fun and successful.  Please do what you can to help make your club successful!  Check a volunteer box in your registration or contact a board member to see what you can do to help.  Thank you!

***  If we are restricted, for whatever reason, and don't play in the state tournament (ie. our club is refunded by MYSA) and we have a partial season then everyone's registration fees will be proportionally refunded or held in the club's account to be applied to the following season's fees.  Your individual choice to not participate does not necessarily trigger a refund (there may be exceptions for medical reasons, etc.).

You will need a current player photo (current school portrait is excellent), insurance information, and proof of age (if not submitted previously) to complete your registration.  Note: a registration may be started now and completed on a later date.

* But only those with a COMPLETED REGISTRATION will be placed on a team and allowed to participate.

At the end of the registration it will say your payment is due today.... THAT IS NOT TRUE.  Please check "agree to pay", then make your payment when it is most convenient for you.  Payments must be made by check or money order (via USPS mail or our convenient drop-off site) - no cash payments please.  If you would like to make multiple payments or would like help with the fees please contact our club's registrar to get our scholarship application form or print it off here.  All requests are kept confidential and based on current need only.
